The best
We're absolutely smitten with these books! As a parent of a kindergartener, they've been an absolute game-changer for us. Nightly battles over reading and the struggle to find age-appropriate books she could handle solo were constant sources of frustration. Now I practically have to pry the books from her hands because she enjoys them so much. They've done wonders for her confidence, especially with how they systematically build up her grasp of sounds. These books are a win-win.

Love It!
I used these books when I was in Kindergarten and loved them and then I used them with some of my homeschooled kids and now I am using them with my youngest of 6, who is 8 years old and has Down syndrome. What makes them great is that they have a lot of review and its a complete book that the child can be proud of themselves for completing.

My family and kindergarten students have learned to love to read using this series
I have used for 35 years these little readers in my kindergarten class to start children on the road to reading. I worked individually with each student at their own pace and every child had the joy of picking up a book and start reading with I SEE SAM and then want to keep on reading in life.

Excellent
This is the best series of books that I have found for my beginning readers. The print and color quality is good as well.

Tried and True
I used these books during my 22 years of teaching kindergarteners. They were terrific for struggling readers and great take home books for all my students. I bought these for my 5 year old grandson who is dying to learn to read. He is loving them and wil be very prepared for kindergarten!

These books give my students confidence to be readers.
I teach special education to students with cognitive disabilities. I've tried lots of ways to teach reading. I love how these books give a starter page to practice the sounds and words. The students love the characters and how the stories build on each other. The comprehension questions already in the book on specific pages help me as the teacher ask a wide range of questions. I can use the whole set with a small group as students can work at their own pace. At the end of the session I ask "easy and ready to go to a new book, or read it again for practice?" They are learning to judge their own abilities. I'm so glad these came recommended.
