My daughter used these books to learn to read in kindergarten. I now have a great granddaughter (4 1/2) who wants to read. Since I could not find my daughter's books, I thought I would see if I could find them. I am excited to help my great granddaughter learn to read with these amazing learning tools.

    Game Changer!

Posted by Emily P on Apr 4th 2023

My son was six years old and after a year of preschool only knew 4 letters consistently. I tried every method to help him learn to read, and THIS WAS THE ANSWER! All the other systems required him to know all the letters first (which we worked on for a year, without success), but this one let him start and begin reading immediately . We spent the first year doing set 1, then repeated it the next year - his reading took off! He didn't end up learning all the letters until age 8, but was fluently reading on grade level by 4th grade! I recommend these books to anyone having a hard time.

Best Books to Teach Kids How to Read!!

Posted by Maren Rowley on Jun 30th 2022

I've been meaning to leave a review for quite some time. The I See Sam books are the best books to teach your kids how to read!!! Most other books teach a "long A sound" or "short E sound" and it seems kids memorize these books instead of reading them. The I See Sam books, teach kids to read, not memorize. Plus, the stories are cute, and there is always some sort of minor problem the characters are trying to work through, so the books teach problem solving skills as well. I started my kids on these books when they were three. My kids have always read at least two to three grade levels above where their current grade. They were reading chapter books by first grade. My two older kids are now in high school, both started taking AP classes as freshman. This is a result of learning to ready young, and the I See Sam books is how they started.

    Effective reading program

Posted by April Strickland on Dec 6th 2021

I love the first set of the I See Sam books! They are charming. I also love all of the books that follow in the Reading For All Learners program. I've used them for 20 years to teach my own kids, other children, and adults who are learning English as a second language. I just bought more to replace my old 20 -year-old set. I'm so glad that these books are still available to buy. I've never seen a comparable reading program. This one, in my opinion, is the best.

    Best learn to read books

Posted by Melissa on Aug 2nd 2021

Most early reading books introduce new words too quickly making every book very hard. These books move slowly and let kids gain confidence. “I can read this book all by myself!!” When we had family over my learner made sure to read the first book he “passed” to everyone!

    Still the best

40 years ago my children learned to read through the “I See Sam” books. I have now purchased them for my grandchildren. The best sound ever. “ I can read, Nana, I can read!”

    So far so good

I remember learning on these books myself when I was young. Tried and true! These have really held my son's attention, and he is progressing so well through the books! The Instructor's Guide was helpful for me and I think has helped me to know better how to help him learn to read. I am so pleased with my purchase.

A Book in a Baggy, makes student feel happy!

Posted by Hillcrest Elementary School on Dec 12th 2017

Our school uses the Reading for All Learners books for a take home program called Baggy Books. When our Kindergarten begin to take these books home they are so proud. The variety and cute characters keep students interested. It is amazing the impact this series has on all students. Even older children will comment I remember those books. Great Educational Value!!
